Terms and conditions of Pet Care – Bborden Personal Services

Rights and obligations of pet owners:

  • The pet owner must have his or her own liability insurance (WA-verzekering). He/she is responsible for any material or emotional damage caused by his/her pet to the property of others.
  • The pet owner will see to it that his/her pet has yearly vaccinations and can provide proof of this by way of a vaccination booklet.
  • The pet owner will ensure that his/her pet is protected against fleas and ticks.
  • The pet owner will provide sufficient food, litter or cage cleaning materials and, if applicable, medication for the duration of the pet care.
  • The pet owner authorizes Bborden Personal Services to provide medical care, if deemed necessary and the pet owner is not reachable by phone. Should an urgent medical procedure prove necessary, Bborden Personal Services will, in consultation with the veterinary health care provider, try again to contact the pet owner.
  • The pet owner must be reachable by telephone or email during the care period.
  • Cash payment must be made in advance, no later than the first day of the care period. Payment by bank transfer must be made no later than 14 days after the last day of the care period, unless otherwise agreed with Bborden Personal Services.
  • In the event that payment does not occur according to the above conditions, the care agreement will be annulled with immediate effect.
  • Cancellation by the pet owner must take place not less than 1 week before the care period. If pet care is cancelled less than 1 week in advance, the pet owner will be billed for one half of the agreed amount.
  • Bborden Personal Services will carry out pet care at the agreed times.
  • Bborden Personal Services is not responsible for damage to or by the pet.
  • Bborden Personal Services is not responsible for damage to the residence or property of the pet owner which is caused by the pet during the care period.
  • Bborden Personal Services is not responsible for damage or burglary during the care period.
